Suspension & Maneuvering Glands

Maneuvering (MG) Glands

Wedge type rope glands are used for the lifting and maneuvering of wire ropes of every description and for their anchoring, suspension or tensioning. Embodying the wedge principal, no white metalling is necessary. They are readily assembled, their split construction enabling the to be fitted on the rope at any given point.

Maneuvering glands (MG) are used for lifting, maneuvering, tensioning and suspending all rope types during installation and maintenance. The main advantage of a maneuvering gland is that the gland casing can be split while it is suspended. This feature allows for convenient installation at any accessible location on the rope. All glands are proof load tested to twice the safe working load followed by non destructive examination.
